What are the green hand prints meant to be?

Why did Jesus enter Jerusalem on a little donkey?

Two boys in our class had very good answers.

FH said: "Because he wanted to be like his people."

Not everyone could afford a big horse but most people had donkeys for work. Jesus wanted his people to know that he was just like them and that he was not better than them.

DOD said: " 'Cos donkeys are very good at walking and donkeys are an animal of peace and a horse is an animal of war."

He is right! A king would usually return home from war on a horse but Jesus wanted everyone to know that he brought peace and love. Most people except the priests and soldiers were extremely glad to see him and welcomed him by putting palm leaves in front of him.

Here is the sound recording we made of the comets hitting the spaceship on the way to the moon.

Last week we made 3D shapes out of straws.

What kind of a shape do we think this is?

It was like playing twister trying to hold all the straws together but the boys did a great job!

The meteor shower is over and we have all survived, thank god.

Now we just have to leave the spaceship and float down to the moon.

There is no gravity in space so we will have to be careful we don't float away!

The General of the Army is coming to see us. He thinks that we should blow all the aliens right up with atomic bombs! I think this is crazy – if we blow them all up we will never get to see if they are truly friendly or not. The General is just scared.

 Crew, I want you to convince the general that there is no need for this foolishness! He must be stopped!
